Ruth A. Costanzo, 93

Ruth A. Costanzo, 93 years, of Fremont died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Ruth was born January 14, 1924, near Arlington to James (Sam) and Elsie (Reichenbach) Steele. She grew up in the Blair and Herman area and attended Bono School and Blair High School. Ruth married Raymond Noyes on February 29, 1940, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. To this union, three children were born. She helped with the farming and did waitress work. She was employed at Western Electric for a number of years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, raising flowers and viewing wildlife. Ruth later married Emanuele "Al" Costanzo on April 9, 1972, in Omaha. Ruth helped raise his four children. She moved to Fremont in 1984 and then lived in Cedar Bluffs for six years. She moved back to Fremont and was involved with in-home care.

She is survived by children: Frances (Leonard, Sr.) Zeleny of Fremont, Clyde C. Noyes, Sr., of Craig and Ellen Louise Snyder of Fremont; 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Raymond Noyes and Emanuele Costanzo; son-in-law, Kenneth Snyder; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Noyes; stepsister, Evelyn McIntyre; and half-brothers, Leroy and Laverne Petersen.

Visitation will be Friday, June 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Blair Cemetery in Blair. Deacon Rick Strong of First Lutheran Church in Fremont will officiate.
