Enid 'Cookie' Hale

Enid "Cookie" Hale passed away June 27 at Memorial Community Hospital & Health System in Blair. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, Iowa. Visitation will be held Friday, June 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Enid Hale was born in Harrison County, Iowa, in the farming area known as Sandy Point. She graduated from Modale High School in 1933. Enid married Lyle Hale, a farmer from Mondamin, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Modale area until March of 1975. Enid worked at the Blair Marina, Jakes, Blair Fish Market and Perk's as a cook. She was known as "Cookie" in the Blair area. Enid enjoyed playing the piano, painting ceramics, crafts, quilting, gardening and raising flowers.

Enid is survived by her daughter, Carmen Schiltz; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded by her husband, Lyle; daughter, Patricia L. Stanzel; and three brothers: Donald C. Hillman, Fred A. Hillman, and O.E. Hillman.
