Warren D. Fuhlrodt passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on July 21, 2017, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at 10:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Military graveside services will follow at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral home in Blair.

Warren was born on January 16, 1925, in Fontanelle, Nebraska. He spent his childhood helping his dad on the family farm. At the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged and awarded a Purple Heart from an injury during his tour of duty in Okinawa.

On October 1, 1946, he married Donna J. Cline in Seattle, WA and returned to make their home on the family farm in Blair, NE. In addition to farming, he worked at Western Electric in Omaha, NE.

Warren was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He especially loved helping the grandkids with their math, which he was a whiz at.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of Blair; sons, Ronald, Rodney (Lou) and Brian (LuAnn) Fuhlrodt and daughters; Janet (Greg) Nieto and Diane (Gary) Wehrli, all of Blair; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, George McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Georgia Fuhlrodt, and sisters, Luree McDonald and Myrna Fuhlrodt.

Memorials may be directed to the First Lutheran Church, AseraCare Hospice or the Good Shepherd Lutheran Community.
