Jeannette J. Tank, 82 years, of Fremont, NE, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Jeannette was born March 30, 1935, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Edwin and Dorothy (Wiedeman) Renter.

She lived in Grand Island until her family moved to Fremont when she was a sophomore. She was a 1953 graduate of Fremont High School. Jeannette married Leland F. Tomasek on February 2, 1957, in Columbus, NE. They farmed near North Bend. Leland died August 3, 1984. Jeannette married Donald Tank on November 15, 1990, and they later divorced. She moved back to Fremont in 1999. She worked at Sid Dillon and TEK Services in Fremont. After retirement, Jeannette worked part-time at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Her family was very important to her and she loved going to the casinos. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont and was a volunteer at Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont.

She is survived by daughter, Jeannie (Ron) Marquardt of Arlington, NE; son, Steven (Billy Jo) Tomasek of Hordville, NE; grandchildren, Hannah, Cole, Tyler, Randi, Lane and Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland; and son, Garry Tomasek.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 24, 2017, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Mark Weber will officiate. Visitation Sunday from 4 PM to 7 PM with family receiving friends from 5 PM to 7 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will be at Killian Cemetery near Morse Bluff, NE.

Memorials directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont and Arlington Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
