MISS BERTHA HUBER TO BE BURIED OCTOBER 26TH

Miss Bertha Louise Huber passed away Tuesday, October 23rd at the Eppley Care Center in Omaha where she has been confined since last April.

Bertha was born to Mr. and Mrs George F. Huber on December 29, 1901. She made her home in the family homeplace on a farm at the south edge of Washington County and lived there until her last illness.

Miss Huber spent her life as a teacher. After teaching in Kennard Elementary School and rural Douglas County she taught at the Monmouth Park school in Omaha for many years and also the McMillan Jr. High School in Omaha. The Omaha P.T.A. honored her as a Lifetime member for 50 years of service in Omaha Schools. She retired in June, 1972. In February 1971 she became a life member of the National P.T.A.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Mary M. Gottsch of Elkhorn, Mrs. Edna G. Petersen of Omaha, Mrs. Bernice N. Lund of Ft. Calhoun and a brother, Walter G. Huber of Blair. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Clark and Frank, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Peterson, and her parents.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 26th at 2 p.m. at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Bennington. The Rev. Norman Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in the German cemetery in the southern part of Washington County. The Hadan-Golden Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be: Rollo M. Allen, George A. Isham, Milo L. Jeppesen, Louis Kahnk, Paul Lambrecht and Glen Mohr.
