Bud Gilliland Is Buried On Wednesday

Funeral services for Albert J. (Bud) Gilliland were held Wednesday, November 26, at 10 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Rev. Owen Wilmot conducted the services. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

He died Monday, November 24, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair at the age of 80.

Albert J. Gilliland was born to Albert J. and Sydney Margaret King Gilliland on July 5, 1900, in Blair, Nebraska. He was a brick layer by trade. He was married to Agnes Ackerman.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Gilliland of Blair; three sons, Fred Gilliland, Jack Gilliland, and George Gilliland, all of Blair; and one daughter, Marie Mindenhall of Omaha. One brother, Charles Gilliland, Long Beach, California; four sisters, Grace Noyes, Mrs. Carol (Violet) Hansen, both of Blair, Dorothy Bailey of Omaha, and Mrs. Carl (Bernice) Petersen, Bonesteel, South Dakota; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers were Paul Schneider, Joe Allen, Bernard Thompson, Allison Millrons, Fred Steffan and Floyd Vaughn.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
