MRS. EMMA CARTER HOOVER, 70, DIED

MEMBER OF PROMINENT PIONEER COUNTY FAMILY IS BURIED TODAY

Mrs. Emma Carter Hoover, 70, member of a prominent pioneer family of Washington county, died Tuesday in an Omaha hospital after a lengthy illness.

Of the five children, only one survives: Clyde, of Little Rock, Arkansas, who is here to attend funeral services. Mr. Carter died in Blair May 22, 1928. Only survivors besides the son are four grandchildren.

Mrs. Hoover, whose second husband also is dead, had been a faithful member of the Medhodist Episcopal church since she joined in 1917. Funeral services are being held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Methodist church, the Rev. Bryant Howe officiating. Interment will be in Blair cemetery.
