WILLIAM HOENEMAN, 83, BURIED JANUARY 15TH

Services for William Hoeneman, 83, of rural Nickerson were Monday, January 15th, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Arlington. He died Friday, January 12, at his home.

He was born August 10, 1889, at St. Louis, Missouri and was baptized August 25, 1889, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and confirmed April 5, 1903, at Drake, Missouri. He came to work in Nebraska in 1911. On March 3, 1920, he married Olga Schmidt of Leslie, Missouri and since has resided in the Arlington vicinity as a farmer. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 71 of Arlington. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife; six children, Mrs. Curtis (Wilma) Schafer, Nickerson; Marvin, Craig; Raymond, at home; Elmer, Omaha; Elna, Denver, Colorado; and Mrs. Gerald (Florence ) Kuss, Fremont; four sisters; Mrs. Minnie Wray and Mrs. Edwin (Regina) Wehmeyer, both of Rosebud, Missouri; Mrs. Harlan (Flora) Rice of Owensville, Missouri, and Mrs. Richard (Lydia) Sanders, Van Nuys, California; one brother, Paul, Rosebud, Missouri; and 10 grandchildren.

Burial was in the church cemetery with the Rev. Donald Gesterling officiating.

Pallbearers were Harold Schafer, Kent Hoeneman, Gary Hoeneman, Dean Schmidt, Donald Lottman, and Delvin Westerman.

Following graveside services lunch will be served for close friends and relatives in the parish hall.

William H. Hoeneman was born August 10, 1889 in St. Louis, Missouri and baptized August 25, 1889 and confirmed April 5, 1903, Zion Lutheran Church, Drake, Missouri.

Mr. Hoeneman came to Nebraska in 1911 and on March 3, 1920 he was joined in Holy Matrimony with Olga Schmidt of Leslie, Missouri and since this time they have resided in the Arlington vicinity.

He is survived by his wife, Olga; 6 children, Mrs. Curtis (Wilma) Schafer, Elna Hoeneman, Mrs. Gerald (Florence) Kuss, Marvin, Raymond and Elmer; 10 grandchildren, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
