Funeral services for Lillie Hoegermeyer, 83, of Fremont, were Monday, April 22, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Phillip Vance and Vicar Mike Meyer officiated. Interment was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Mrs. Hoegermeyer died Friday, April 19, at Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Lillie D.C.Hoegermeyer was born June 23, 1918, to William and Bonnie (Bohling) Katt on the family farm in rural Herman. She grew up in rural Herman, attended Vacoma public and Immanuel Lutheran Schools through the eighth grade. She worked on the family farm after her schooling.

She married Walter Hoegermeyer on Feb. 16, 1941, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hooper. They farmed in the Herman/Hooper area for 50 years. They moved to Fremont in 1991.

Mrs. Hoegermeyer was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing flowers. She was a former member of the Immanuel Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hooper before moving to Fremont. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and continued to be in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League in Fremont, and was also a member of Eunice Circle and the Lutheran Laymen's League at Trinity.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Sharon Hoegermeyer of Herman; three daughers and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Norman Paasch of Snyder, Jeanette and Boyd Beune of Wisner, and Nancy and William Lederer of Macomb, Mich.; sister-in-law, Esther Katt of San Bernardino, Calif.; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbert.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
