Services for Donna Mae Hofmann, 62, who died July 16, 1991 at Tabitha Nursing Home in Lincoln were Friday, July 19 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Rev. Michael Rogers officiated. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery in Arlington.

Donna Mae Buckendahl Hofmann was born September 9, 1928 at Pierce, Nebraska and grew up there. She attended business college in Omaha.

After her marriage to Alex Hofmann in Omaha July 12, 1953 they moved to Glenwood, Iowa and she worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. They moved to Fremont in 1958 and moved to Arlington in 1959.

She and her husband owned and operated the Gamble's Store in Arlington from 1958-April 1991.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Evening Friends of Faith and the Lutheran Women's League. She was also a member of Town & Country Extension Club and was a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her father, Anton Buckendahl; a sister, LuJean Buckendahl; and a granddaughter, Keri Hofmann.

She is survived by her husband, Alex; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy Hofmann of St. Charles, Missouri; a daughter, LeAnn Hofmann; and a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Chris Lofgreen, all of Lincoln; her mother, Frieda Buckendahl; a brother, Duane Buckendahl, both of Pierce; four grandchildren, Kelli and Eric Hofmann and Brittany and Hayli Lofgreen.

Pallbearers were Roy Bauermeister, Ken Hofeldt, Willard Meier, Michail Dwyer, Gary Buckendahl and Gary Suckstorf.

Helen Hilgenkamp was organist.

Memorials may go to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to Tabitha Hospice in Lincoln.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
