Percy L. Hue, 84, of Herman, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Kenneth Jensen of Good shepherd Lutheran Home officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel.

Percy L. Hue was born Dec. 29, 1917, in rural Herman to Alert and Mabel (Magill) Hue. He was a graduate of Hooper High School and farmed in Herman most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 until 1946, and was a pilot instructor.

In 1942, he married Lucille Erickson at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow. She preceded him in death in 1969.

Mr. Hue was a former member of the American Legion Post in Uehling.

He had been residing at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair since Oct. 2001. He is survived by a sister, Geraldine Hue of Beatrice.

Memorials are suggested to the Open door Mission/Lydia House in Omaha.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
