Walter L. Hunter, 52, of Blair, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Walter Lee Hunter was born July 28, 1955, in Silsbee, Texas, to Walter and Emma (Cruse) Hunter.

On Dec. 31, 1980, he married Debra White. The couple had three children, Brianna of Papillion and Cassandra of Fremont, and Jonathan, of Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Debra; four children; two grandsons; mother, Emma Brooks of Oakland, Calif.; four brothers, Clarence Westbrooks, Neikiath, Michael and Raymond Brooks, all of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Gladys Brooks and Patricia Brooks, both of Oakland, and Pearl and Ronnie Fields of Cincinnati, Ohio; mother-in-law, Helen White of North Platte; four sisters-in-law and spouses, Darla and Joe Sheets of Whitman, Donita and Troy Werkmeister of Maywood, Denise and Todd Bredthauer of Dannebrog, and Darlene and Troy Leitschuck of Sargent; two brothers-in-law and spouse, Fred and Rosalina White of Bellevue and Gary White, Jr. of North Platte; 28 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
