Lillian Lafae (Hansen) McKain Deckard was born August 4, 1925, in Burt County to Hans and Josena (Fransen) Hansen. She passed away August 8th at Tekamah Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tekamah at the age of 92.

Lillian attended Herman Public School and graduated from Herman High School. Lillian married Edward Kire McKain on October 24, 1942, in Papillion. Lillian and Ed lived in San Francisco, California, for four years before moving to the Herman-Tekamah area. They moved to Blair in 1955. After Ed's death, Lillian and Kenneth Deckard were married on August 10, 1993, in Elk Point, South Dakota, making their home in Tekamah.

Lillian worked at Mac's Food Center for 20 years.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward McKain; brothers, Harlan, Carroll, Allen, Wayne; and sisters, Harriet, Lona Jean, Marie.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Kenneth Deckard of Tekamah; son, Kerry (Ann) McKain of Blair; grandchildren, Scott (Carrie) McKain of El Cajon, CA, Krista (Kent Nicholson) of Blair; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Deb McKain (Larry Yingling), Tom Deckard, Ron (Gina) Deckard, Terry Wulf, Kenneth Deckard, Wayne (Vicki) Deckard; step-grandchildren, Bob Matzen, McKenzie and Logan Deckard, Michelle Peterson, Michael Nelson, Amanda Nelson, Tim Nelson, Matthew Wulf, Chelsie Deckard; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Monday, August 14th at Pelan Funeral Services in Tekamah.

Burial was at the Herman Cemetery, Herman. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later time.
