Gwenith “Gwen” Matter

Gwenith “Gwen” L. Matter, 74 years, of Fremont, NE died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Gwen was born July 17, 1943 in Fremont to Carson and Gladys (Wilson) Gaines.

She grew up in Arlington and was a 1961 graduate of Arlington High School. She lived in Fremont from 1967 until the present. She worked as an Office Manager for many years. Gwen married Howard Greser on June 29, 2001 in Fremont. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2006.

She enjoyed bowling and was inducted into the bowling Hall of Fame. She also sponsored many bowling teams. She loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Nola (Donald) Nielsen of Denver, CO; niece, Tamera Rodriguez, nephew, Scott (Debbie) Heaps and great niece, Gina Heaps all of Denver, CO; several step children and step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Howard.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Jesse Winn of Fremont Health Hospice will officiate. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Dodge County Humane Society and FurEver Home, Inc both in Fremont.
