Frank Hovendick, 95, Died Saturday.

Frank J. Hovendick, pioneer farmer and resident of Blair and Washington County, died at Memorial Community Hospital at noon Saturday, September 11th. He had been living at 276 North 23rd Street in Blair.

The deceased was born at Blair October 24, 1875 at the time when Blair was first being settled as a community. He grew to manhood here and devoted his life to farming until his retirement some years ago.

. He is survived by his wife, Elfreida and by two sons and a daughter. The sons are Frances and Herman Hovendick, both of Blair. The daughter is Mrs. Frank Lambrecht (Opal) who resides in Omaha.

A sister, Mrs. Fred Grabbe, also survives and she lives in Blair.

Funeral services were held at First Lutheran Church on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Sanford D. Sorgen conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
