Lucille F. Lance, of Pueblo, Colo., passed away Saturday, Aug. 19 surrounded by her family.

Lucille is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Adolfo) Lujan of Aguilar, Colo., Daleen (Curtis) Robeson of Blair, and Marcia Lance of Pueblo, Colo.; sister, Leona Stauffer; daughters-in-law, Denise Lance and Teresa Passarelli; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerold Sitton, John Hemphill, Marlys Lance, Pat Milinski, Vern and Bob Chistianson; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; and her very special grandchildren and all-around errand girls and fix-it men, Tammi and Amanda Gurule, Randy Lance, Ben Gurule and Mark Lujan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dale; son, Randy; granddaughter, Michelle Lujan; parents, Hugh and Elsie Reid; father and mother-in-law, J.W. “Buzz” and Margaret Lance; sisters, Donna Sitton and Leora Hemphill; brothers and sisters-in-law, O.B. Stauffer, Larry Lance, Shirley Milinski and Clyde and Gwen Bush; and special niece, Allison Conley.

Lucille worked as a telephone operator in Rocky Ford, Colo., before moving to Trinidad, Colo., where she worked at Riverside and Market Time Drug Stores and at Mode O Day Dress Shop. In 1978, she moved to Pueblo and worked for the Red Cross and Parkview Medical Center for 30 years.

The memorial service was at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 24 in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel in Pueblo. Interment will be at Rocky Ford Cemetery at a later date.
