Funeral services for Stanley Howard age 72, who died at Good Shepherd Home December 9, 1989, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Logan, Iowa Cemetery.
Stanley Russell Howard was born on January 31, 1917 at Logan, Iowa to Harry and Vera Strauss Howard. He attended school in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
In June of 1942 he entered the service and served the Army during WWII, being discharged in 1945. He re-enlisted in 1947 and served until being discharged in 1963.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one step-brother Charles Cowan.
Stanley is survived by two daughters, Caroline Knaus, Des Moines, Iowa and Jennifer of Kentucky; two brothers, Harley Howard, Roswell, New Mexico and David Orlo Howard, Gardena, California and one step-brother, Clayton Cowan, Chino, California.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
