James Joseph McDonald, age 34, of Omaha, passed away August 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Blair Central Court, located at 451 S. 16 Street, Blair. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, September 5 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

James was born March 6, 1983 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of James and Patricia McDonald. James became an Eagle Scout at the age of 15. He attended Millard North and graduated in 2001. He started going to work with his father at McWire Inc. at age seven and by his side learned the electrical and security system trade. On June 26, 2010, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Danielson in Omaha and they were blessed with three children.

James will always be remembered for being a hard worker, his generous kind heart, and his quick wit. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music and cheering on the Huskers.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia McDonald of Blair; children: James "Wes", Alissa "Ali", and Charles "Charlie" McDonald; mother, Patricia A. McDonald of Omaha; father, James A. McDonald, Jr. of Omaha; sister, Mary McDonald of Omaha; grandmothers: Mary Waste of Omaha and Rosemary McDonald of Buffalo, NY; uncle, Ralph Ronald Waste of Omaha; aunt, Kathleen Pitch of Omaha; cousins: Robert Pitch of Omaha and Lynde Gault of Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Ralph R. Waste and James A. McDonald.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
