Emri Mae Hughes, 74, of Blair, died Thursday, Feb. 17, at Good Shepherd Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at the First Christian Church in Blair. Visitation will be held prior to services. Remains will be donated to the University of Nebraska Medical Center following services.
Emri Mae Hughes was born Nov. 2, 1925, to Anders and Ethel (Ottoson) Olson of Galesburg, Ill. She graduated from Galesburg High School and received an associate's degree from Carl Sandburg Junior College.
On Oct. 20, 1945, she married Charles "Bill" W. Hughes in Galesurg. She did secretarial work all her life, and retired in 1982. She was a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine Rice of Omaha; Laurel and Russell Lau of Blair; three grandchildren, William "Bill" J. Rice of Omaha; Bradley A. Lau of Blair; and Amy Lau of Blair.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
