Melodie Lee Brewer, age 55 of Blair, passed away September 13th at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. A memorial gathering with sharing time will be held Saturday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Melodie was born on April 25, 1962 in Mt. Pleasant, California the daughter of Mirth Van Wegen. She was raised in the San Francisco Bay area before moving to Blair with her parents in 1989. On July 15, 1994, she was united in marriage to Leo Brewer in Tekamah. She was a very active mother, and later grandmother. Through the years she was always busy with family activities and looked forward to their events. Her entire family was her pride and joy and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her husband Leo; children: C.J. Brewer and Katie Lefler and their daughter Emma, Howie and Sarah Brewer and their son Jagger, Jessica and Justin Gessert and their two children, Kelsey and Shannon Mahlberg and their three children; in-laws: Debra (Kirk) Wilson, Teresa (Rick) Clabaugh, Leonard (Kelly) Brewer, Clint Brewer, and Tina (James) Bilslend; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mirth Van Wegen, step father Howard Banta and sister Sheri Reynolds.
