MRS. WM. HUNT DIES 19 DAYS AFTER HER HUSBAND

Mrs. William Hunt, a resident of Blair for the past forty years, died last Friday, April 26 just nineteen days after the death of her husband, Wm. Hunt, Sr., had died on April 7th.

Mattie Ziegler Hunt was born October 23, 1895 at Rodgers, Nebraska and she was 78 years of age at her death.

Her childhood years were spent at Herman, Orum, Calhoun and Blair. She attended school in those places and also at the Fremont Normal School in Fremont.

She and William Hunt, Sr., were united in marriage on December 15th, 1932 at Blair.They became the parents of two children; Mrs. Robert Petersen (Colleeta) of Herman and Bill Hunt, Jr., of Blair.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Colleeta Petersen of Herman, and Mrs. Darlene Burgess, of Brooten, Minnesota. There are two sons, Wm. Hunt, Jr., of Blair and Rev. Harold M. Hunt, of Independence, Missouri. There are also 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, 5 nieces and one nephew.

Mrs. Hunt is also survived by four sisters. They are Julia Ackerman, of Blair; Mrs. Emma Martin, of Indianola, Iowa; Mrs. Louise Gummus, of Stanton, Neraska; and Miss Marguerite Ziegler of Blair. A brother, William E. Ziegler also resides in Blair.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 29 at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Gordon Patterson conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Jack Eriksen, Dick Lowe, Don Andersen, Milo Peterson, Aaron Barker and Leonard Peterson.
