Died in Omaha, Marjorie E. Boardman

Mrs. George Boardman, of this city, died on Tuesday, July 18 at an Omaha hospital, aged about 22 years.

Mrs. Boardman had been ill for several months and was suffering from blood poisoning, when two weeks ago she was taken to Omaha to be operated upon. The funeral was held last evening at 8 o’clock in Omaha and the interment was made in one of the Omaha cemeteries.

Deceased leaves a husband and one child, only a few months old, besides other relatives and friends to mourn her early demise. She was a lady highly spoken of by those who knew her.

Mr. Boardman, the bereaved husband, is a machinist in the employ of the F.W. Arndt Automobile Company, and the family has been living in the E.M. Castetter house near the Methodist Church. There are many friends who extend sympathy to the sorrowing ones.

The funeral of Mrs. George Boardman, who died at the hospital in Omaha on the 18th, was held at George’s mother’s home at 1408 Wirt Street in Omaha at 8 o’clock last Thursday evening and interment was made in Forrest Lawn Cemetery.

Marjorie E. Johnston was born in Brooklyn, New York, January 29th, 1896 and was therefore past 20 years of age. She as married to Mr. Boardman in Lincoln three years ago on the 6th of September.

Besides the husband, she leaves a little girl nine months old. Her aunt, Mrs. Edna Thorne, of New York, is here keeping house for George and care for the little babe, but as she cannot stay he expects to break up housekeeping shortly.

Mr. Boardman began working for The Arndt Hardware as boss mechanist in the garage some five months ago. He moved the family up here three months ago and was comfortably settled in the E. Castetter place on West Colfax Street. He has the sympathy of all who knew him and his excellent wife.
