Marie H. Bock, 101 of Blair, died Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Central City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday one hour before services.

Marie H. Bock was born September 4, 1904, in Clarno, Wisconsin to Fred and Edith (Williams) Dinges. At the age of six months, her family moved to Central City, where she lived until graduating from high school.

She graduated from Cotner College in Lincoln in 1924. She taught at various schools including Pleasant Hills, Clarks, and Central City.

While attending college, she met Mark Bock, and they married on August 14, 1929.

After their marriage, the couple lived in Oxford, Blue Hill and Silver Creek, where Mr. Bock taught school and coached. The couple owned Gambles store in Benkelman for 14 years. They moved to Norfolk in 1957, where Mrs. Bock lived until moving to the Good Shepherd Home in 2003.

She was a 72-year member of P.E.O. She also was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The Weslyan group, and My Own Book Club, all of Norfolk. She loved life and live to the fullest, was a lifetime Nebraskan and loyal Husker fan. She was happiest when surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her two son and daughters-in-law, Judson and Ramona bock of Honey Creek, Iowa, and Donald and Jeanie Bock of Blair; four granddaughters; two grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
