Diana L. Sievers, 65

Inducted into Fremont Bowler’s Hall of Fame

Dianna L. Sievers, 65, of Fremont, died Friday, June 24, 2011, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

The funeral service was Wednesday, June 29, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Dianna L. Klug was born March 13, 1946, in Sidney to Fred and Arlene (Juedes) Klug. She grew up in Arlington, attending St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduating from Arlington High School.

One month after graduating from high school, she went to work for Hormel's in Fremont. She worked in the accounting department and retired after 38 years there.

On May 12, 1973, she married Lynn Sievers in Fremont at Trinity Lutheran Church and Fremont has been their home.

Mrs. Sievers was an avid bowler. She had been inducted into the Fremont Bowler's Hall of Fame and had served on the board of that organization. She was one of the organizers of the Women's 600 Club, and had served as the secretary of several bowling leagues. She had several interests outside of bowling, including gardening, flowers, puzzles, and her grandson, Tiger. She had also served as a director of the Arlington Educational Foundation and had been the treasurer of the foundation.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn; son and daughter-in-law, Darin and Rena Sievers of Fremont; grandson, Tiger; daughter and son-in-law, Laci and Geoff Knight of Los Angeles, Calif.; five sisters, Betty Brengleman of Waterloo, Jean Bradford of Blair, Doni Brainard and Cheryl Klug, both of Omaha and Joyce Anderson of Kennard.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leila.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
