Services for Emma S. Boehnke, age 86, of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair August 13, 1994 after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home will be Wednesday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Emma Boehnke was born in Kehingbruch, Germany on March 1, 1908. She attended school in Germany and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church there. She came to America in 1927.

She married Johnnes F. Boehnke in 1928 in New York. They lived in the Scribner and Hooper area until 1934, at which time they moved to Blair where she has resided since.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Walter and Darlene Boehnke from Omaha, Nebraska; Rev. John and Rev. Joyce Boehnke form Woodville, Texas; and Robert Boehnke of Blair; one daughter, Elaine Cleaver of Modale, Iowa; one brother, Richard Schwanemann of Neuhaus-Oste, Germany; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
