Tom Boever, 86, of Tekamah, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home in Bellevue.

Memorial services were Thursday, July 26, at Country Bible Church in Blair. A private family interment was held at the Tekamah Cemetery. Military honors were provided by VFW Bataan Post No. 3904 and the American Legion LaFrenze Post No. 15.

Tom Boever was born September 27, 1920 in Judith Gap, Montana to Phillip Jacob and Margaret Marie (Flynn) Boever. He attended school in Judith Gap and Le Mars, Iowa.

He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was honorably discharged in December 1945. On December 18, 1974, Tom and Ellen L. (Graver) Conklin were married at Fremont.

Mr. Boever was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the operator’s union in Omaha, the VFW Bataan Post No. 3304 and Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen, of Tekamah; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Beaty of Bremen, Georgia, Elaine and Richard Will of Milbank, South Dakota, Evadine and Harold Uhing of Papillion, Tammy and Stan Klein of Omaha; stepson, Todd Conklin of Tekamah; stepdaughter, Laure Ecleston of Elgin, South Carolina; sisters, Peg Ames of Arizona, Germaine Schmierer and Lois Morrison, both of Wisconsin; brothers, Al and Vince Boever, both of Florida; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; Ruth (Foulk) Boever; brothers Gerald, Ray, Cyril, Phil, Claude, Bernard; and a sister Mary.
