Joy of Life was Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren

Helen C. Herron, 90, of Blair, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, at the funeral home.

Helen C. Ellis was born Feb. 15, 1921, in Huntsville, Mo., to Victor and Jenny (Stark) Ellis. She was a graduate of Huntsville High School.

On Dec. 18, 1941, she married Wilbur Herron in Huntsville. The couple moved to Blair in the mid-1950s.

Mrs. Herron’s joy of her life was all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Shotwell of Blair; son, Charles Herron of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Wilbur; sister, Verna Johnson; and brothers, J.W. Ellis, James Ellis, Robert Ellis and Jesse Ellis.
