Robert Lee Callahan, 80, of Blair, passed away September 24th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28th at 10 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Omaha.

Robert Lee Callahan, was born January 18, 1937, to Gerald S. Callahan of Humansville, Missouri, and mother Ethel M. Hansen of Florence. Robert was baptized April 1, 1943, in the Kountye Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church. He attended school in Omaha. Robert received an Honorable discharge from the Army of the United States, the 505th Airborne Infantry, on February 16, 1955.

Robert was a kind, loving man. It was love at first sight for Bob and Carol. They went on to marry October 2, 1979. Bob put Carol on a pedestal and showered her with gifts. Their love for each other runs deep, a true love story from them in life as it will be in death.

Robert was a man of many talents — a chef working in clubs and restaurants. He also owned Blair Sports Ware in Blair, Nebraska a screen printing business. They moved to Omaha and there he owned Husker Plus store, selling Husker ware.

He had a backyard pool and loved throwing pool parties during the summer. He would also partake in some casino games, which he enjoyed taking Carol to. His favorite, most loved holiday was Christmas. He would decorate every inch of the entire house, then go outside and decorate the roof and the yard. He would host large family gatherings during this time of year also.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Callahan of Blair; brother, Gerald Callahan of Nebraska; children: Tammy (Stanley) Frye of Blair, Sonny (Jamie) Method of Craig, Allen Method of Blair; grandchildren: Angela Tally, Nichole Frye, Kendra Baker and Aliah Frye, all of Blair, Tyson, Jennifer, Jesica, Emily and Olivia Method of Blair; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Callahan; mother, Ethel West; and sister, Sharron Rasmussen.
