Services for Verna Bohrer, 99 of Blair and formerly of Falls City, Nebraska who died in Good Shepherd Lutheran Home April 11, 1992, were held Wednesday, April 15 in the chapel of the Dorr Funeral Home in Falls City. Mrs. George Hughes, Sebetha, Kansas was the reader. Burial was in St. Joseph Memorial Park Cemetery at St. Joseph.

Verna Borher was born April 25, 1892 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Edward and Margaret Knight. She married Monte Norton in 1914. They spent most of their married life in St. Joseph where he was a grain dealer. He preceded her in death in 1950.

She married William Leroy ‘Roy” Bohrer, a Falls City businessman September 6, 1952 in St. Joseph. He preceded her in death November 5, 1975.

She continued to live in Falls City following his death until entering Good Shepherd Home November 20, 1990.

She was a member of the Christian Science Church, Sabetha and a member of the Naphis Chapter of the Nile, Lincoln.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, one stepdaughter, two step-grandsons and one step-granddaughter.

She is survived by one stepson, “Bud” Bohrer, Tekamah; two step-grandsons, Scott Steen, Lincoln, and Michael Bohrer of Dallas Texas; two step-granddaughters, Teresa (Mrs. William) Thompson, Sargent, and Leslie Bohrer, Omaha and two step-great-granddaughters, Rachel Thompson and Beth Thompson, both of Sargent.
