T. A. Bohs, 82

Andrew Bohs, commonly known as T.A. Bohs was born July 18, 1904. He was 82 years of age. He was the son of Andrew and Sarah Bohs, and he died on Christmas Day at Good Shepherd Home.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, December 29, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. Carl. F. Schattauer, Jr., officiated.

He was born on a farm west of Blair. He attended country schools and was always a farmer at heart.

He was married to Mabel Hudleson on February 21, 1923, on her parents’ fruit farm two miles south of Blair.

In May, 1924, they went into the grocery and meat market, and was in store business over 30 years.

The Bohs started traveling in June 1931. They went to Alaska, Cuba, Mexico, Jamaica and nearly every state in the United States.

They attended several World Fairs, and also attended two Nebraska football bowl games when they were in Miami, Florida.

Bohs had heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, in 1964. His surgery was one of the first heart operations and he got along very well.

Bohs was a Mason, an Eastern Star member and a good church member at First Lutheran.

He was also a very good hunter and fisherman, and he really liked outdoor life.

The Bohs celebrated their 25th and 50th anniversaries. On February 21, 1987, they would have celebrated their 64th year together.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mabel; a brother, Ernest; a sister, Mrs. Les (Anna) Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Carl, and a sister, Helen, preceded him in death.

Organist was Clare Cowing, and Kermit and Dagmar Goll sang a duet.

Honorary pallbearers were roger Bauer; Dr. L.I. Grace; Dan Gunchick; Bill Gutschow; Kenneth Jensen; Rolland Long; bob Macholan; Carl Paine; C.A. Pleak; Bob Rix; and Bob Sheets.

Casket bearers were Steve Beck; Larry Biffar; Mike Bowen; Milo Christensen; Tom Paine, and Jerry West.

Memorial may be given to Good Shepherd Home, First Lutheran Church, or Memorial Community Hospital, Blair.

Campbell Funeral Home, Blair, was in charge of arrangements.
