Carol A. Boies, 53, of Arlington, died Saturday April 19, 2003, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. April 23 at Arlington Community Church with the Rev, Lynn Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington, and also will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Carol A. Boies was born April 18, 1945 in Winfield, Kansas to Wayne and Edna (Spoon) Pittman.

She lived in Oxford, Kansas until the eighth grade, and then moved to Oklahoma for a year before moving to Arlington in 1960. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1962.

On December 5, 1965, she married Jerry L. Boies in Arlington.

Mrs. Boies worked as a bookkeeper for Fremont National Bank, Gambles, and Arlington Public Schools for 17 years, and most recently she worked at the Arlington City Clerk’s office. She was a member of the Arlington Community Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Terri Boies of Lincoln; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Cheryl Pittman of Arlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington is in charge of arrangements.
