Daniel W. Bolen, 57, of Edwards, Missouri, died Saturday July 21, 2001 at his home.

Funeral services were held July 24 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri. The body was cremated.

Daniel W. Bolen was born November 6, 1943, in Omaha to William and Frances (Harper) Bolen.

He grew up in Nebraska and, on January 24, 1987 he married Barbara Betts. The couple made their home in Omaha, where Mr. Bolen was employed as an engineer for IB for 25 years, retiring in February 1992. Following his retirement, the couple moved to their lake home near Edwards.

Mr. Bolen was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department # 1417 of Edwards.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, two sons, Jerry Bolen and Clayton Bolen, both of Fort Calhoun, and two daughters, Teresa Lomenick of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Natalie Schultz of Fort Calhoun, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving is his mother, Frances Carroll of Elkhorn, four brothers and one sister, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw was in charge of arrangements.
