Rose Bollesen, 93

Funeral services for Rose Bollesen, age 93, are 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 16 at the First Lutheran Church with burial in the Blair Cemetery. Rose died at the Good Shepherd Home on Saturday, May 13, 1989.

Rose Hanson was born on December 27, 1895 at Callender, Iowa to Lewis and Anna Peterson Hanson. She attended rural country school in Callender, Iowa.

On November 30, 1927, she married Rev. Martinus Bollesen at Callender, Iowa. They lived in Plainview and Winnetoon, Nebraska for 12 years, New Denmark Brunswick, Canada for five years and 13 years in Audubon, Iowa while serving churches. In 1957 they moved to Blair, Nebraska where they retired.

Rose is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Phyllis and John Matthews of Omaha, Nebraska, and Opal and Robert Hansen, Austin, Texas and two sons and daughter-in-laws, Virgil and Karen Bollesen, Sunland, California and Rev. Melius and Pat Bollensen of Huntington Beach, California. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 11 step- great-grandchildren and three step-great-great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Amenda Hansen of Callender, Iowa.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martinus in 1969, one son Milton in infancy, one grandson, Dwight Hansen, five brothers and one sister.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
