Eliza A. Morrill (Bohonon)

Eliza A. Bohonon was born June 17, 1935 in Bombay, New York. At the age of 19 she was united in marriage to Henry C. Morrill and since 1869 had made her home in Nebraska, most of the time, since the death of her husband in 1888 at Tekamah.

Born to this union were ten children, five of whom are living; Mrs. H.E. Reynolds of Tekamah, Mrs. James Kessler of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Charles Haynes and Mrs. Watson Tyson of Blair, who with an only sister, Mrs. Olive E. Colby of Salisbury, New Hampshire, 26 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren are left to mourn her death.

In 1904 she suffered a paralytic stroke which caused a general weakness and she passed away May 22 at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 5 days. The funeral was held Friday at the home of Mrs. H.E. Reynolds, with Rev. Warren officiating. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Her many friends extend their deep sympathy to the children in the loss of their mother.

“We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the long illness and after the death of our beloved mother….Her children.”
