David H. Zimmerman passed from this life into heaven September 23 at 70 years old. He was born in Lexington and graduated from Kearny High School in 1966. He served as a Marine in Vietnam, getting many medals for his bravery.

He is survived by three children: Douglas (Charity) Zimmerman, Wallace (Melissa) Zimmerman and Melinda (Scott) Woodward. His grandchildren are: TJ Dunn, Spencer Woodward, Michael Zimmerman, Jordis Woodward Evangeline and Elias Zimmerman. He has three sisters: Karen (Larry) Novotne, Joan Mansfield and Susan Johnston Treffer. He has two stepsons: Ethan and Jeffrey Bunce.

He and his wife, Janet Cline-Zimmerman, came to Blair in May 2016 and lived in Craig the 10 previous years. Services were held in Kearney. A celebration of life is planned for the future in Blair. He will be missed by all who knew him for his keen mind and generous heart.
