He was educated in the Pleasant View schools and on December 31, 1890 he was united in marriage to Emma E. Hooks who passed away March 7, 1921. The family lived on a farm northwest of Blair. Frank Warrick

Blair was shocked when the news of the sudden death of Frank Warrick became known. He had not been feeling well for several days but had not been considered serious.

After his evening meal on last Thursday, July 18, he went out to the back yard where he was in the habit of going to pitch horse shoes, and on this evening he began pitching by himself. Mrs. Warrick heard the click of the shoes and later looked out to see how the game was progressing. She saw him on the ground in a position as if he were looking for some article and supposed he had dropped something, but he did not move and she became frightened and went to him. When she took hold of him and turned him around he was black in the face and unable to speak. A hurried call was made for assistance and when a physician arrived he pronounced him dead.

Deceased was born on a farm in Cuming City township Feb. 19, 1866 and after his marriage December 31, 1890 to Emma Hooks he continued to make his home in that township.

His first wife passed away March 7, 1921 and in 1922 Mr. Warrick left the farm and moved to Blair.

On April 16, 1924 he was married to Mrs. Birdie E. Smith. He was a home loving man and his life was one of contentment and those with whom he came in contact felt the spell of his earnest christian habits.

He was for years a member of the Baptist church and he lived the part. Always helpful in time of trouble. A good business man and an ideal citizen.

Besides the widow he leaves an adopted son, Alfred E. Warrick, and three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Maud Compton of Blair; Mrs. Ethel A. Helms of Webster, S.D.; Minnie E. Summers and Zelma R. Anderson of Erskine, Alberta, Canada and Mrs. Calla A. Kreiser of Kansas City, Kansas, besides a host of relatives and friends who mourn his death.

The funeral services here were held from the Baptist church last Sunday afternoon at 2:30 where one of the largest gatherings of the kind ever known in the city gathered to show their respect to the departed and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
