Candis Lynn Hansen, 65 of Blair, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Crowell Home in Blair. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 12 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday with family receiving friends from 7 to 9 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Candis Lynn Hansen was born June 16, 1952 in Omaha, NE the daughter of Harold and Vivian Michaelson. Candy was raised in Blair and attended Blair High School graduating with the class of 1970. She married Ronnie Hansen and the couple moved to Herman to raise their family. Candy was a Herman resident for over 40 years. She was employed through many local businesses including Blair Transfer, the Village of Herman City Clerk, Scoular Elevator in Herman, Washington County Sheriff Department, Memorial Community Hospital in Blair and Auxiliary Closet Thrift Store in Blair. Candy was also busy as a Girl Scout leader and 4-H leader in Herman and the Herman Firefighters Auxiliary- the Ding-A-Lings. She was a very active mother and later grandmother. Her entire family was her pride and joy and she treasured every moment with them. Candy also enjoyed traveling, sewing for craft shows and flying ultralight aircraft. She will be deeply missed by family and friends and all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, children: Talie (D.J. Jr.) Zolck and Trenton (Heather) Hansen; grandchildren: Whitney and Weston Zolck and Henry and Claire Hansen; sister Debby (Don) Hansen and many beloved family and dear friends.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sharon White.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the continued support from the Herman Fire and Rescue Department and the wonderful staff and caregivers at Endless Journey Hospice.
