Lela Ann Loftis, age 85 of Blair, passed away October 7th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 11th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Graveside services will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Lela was born in Blair, Nebraska on November 13, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Martha (Kuhr) Madsen. She attended Rose Hill country school and later graduated from Blair High School. On November 19, 1950 she was united in marriage to Howard Loftis. The couple was happily married for over 50 years. Over the years she helped with the farming operations. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was an avid quilter.

She is survived by daughters: Diane (Jim) Grabbe of Herman and Sandra (David) Moore of Gastonia, North Carolina; grandchildren: Tony (Dana) Cole, Kristy (Craig) Belina, Tim (Amy) Grabbe, Travis (Jennifer) Cole and Sean Cole; nine great grandchildren, sister Katherine Clark, sisters in law Marian Madsen and Mary Ann Ryder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, brothers Ralph Madsen and Marshall Madsen and brothers in law Charles Clark and Bill Ryder.
