FREMONT -- Laurene A. Giesselman, age 91, of Fremont passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Shalimar Gardens.

Laurene was born Dec. 12, 1925, in Straton to John and Alma (Perkins) Underhill. Laurene grew up in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School in 1944. Following high school she attended Warner Pacific Bible School in Portland, Oregon. She married Lynn Skinner in 1946. She then attended Beauty School in Grand Island and later purchased Laurene's Beauty Salon in Fremont in 1958. She operated it for 13 years. She met and married Boyd Giesselman in 1970, and moved to the Giesselman Farm where they resided until 2007. They then moved to Arlington where they resided until 2015. Following Boyd's death she moved to Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd, three brothers, one sister, and one grandson.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Teresa) Skinner; daughter, Linda (James) Sundquist-Bice; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, eight special nieces and nephews.

She met and married Boyd Giesselman in 1970, and moved to the Giesselman Farm where they resided until 2007. They then moved to Arlington where they resided until 2015. Following Boyd's death she moved to Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd, 3 brothers,1 sister, and 1 grandson.

Burial will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
