Death Claims Frank August Schumacker of Ft. Calhoun

Frank Schumacker, an old and respected resident of Ft. Calhoun, succumbed to dropsy at his home on Saturday, March 24, 1917, after suffering for a number of years with the ailment.

Frank August Schumacker was born in Zackerich Brandenburg, Germany on Nov. 5, 1853. In 1873 he was married to Miss Emelie Schneider. To this union twelve children were born, eight of whom, with his wife survive him. He came to American thirty-five years ago settling at West Point, Neb., where he resided up to fourteen years ago when he moved to Ft. Calhoun, where he has since resided.

The funeral was held today at the Presbyterian Church, Calhoun, Rev. Brittell, of the Presbyterian Church, conducting the services. The body was laid to rest in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
