Andrew Barge, age 82, father of A. W. Barge, died Saturday morning, August 13, at the Tekamah hospital following a short illness of only two weeks. The deceased formerly resided at Malmo, Nebr. but came to Herman more than a year ago to make his home with his son, Wm. during his declining years. The body was prepared for burial and was brought to the Barge home where short funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. T. J. Reese of the Baptist Church. The remains were taken by auto hearse, to Mead, Nebr. for interment beside his wife who passed away a number of years ago. Herman friends extend sympathy.
