Clarence Brunton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brunton, dropped dead last night at about eleven.

He was assisting with an automobile that had run out of gas just by the Joe Barry home south of town when his death occurred. Leakage of the heart is given as the cause.

The young man was just past twenty-three years of age.

Funeral will be held at the Christian Church Friday at 2 p.m. and interment made in the Blair Cemetery.

Clarence Brunton Drops Dead While Repairing Auto

Death came suddenly and swiftly to Clarence Brunton at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 29th, 1917. Art Leach drove by the Joe Barry place in his auto and the machinery suddenly demanded attention. Young Brunton came out of the house and while helping Art fix the car, fell over dead. Dr. Anderson, of Kennard, was called and stated that the dead man had been a sufferer for the past two years of leakage of the heart. Funeral service will be held at the Christian Church, this city at two o’clock, Friday afternoon,

Clarence Brunton was 23 years old and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brunton. Two brothers and three sisters, besides the parents, survived the deceased: Bryan, William, Emma, Jessie and Hazel Brunton.
