James J. Larson 50, of Cedar Bluffs, formerly of Blair, suddenly passed away at his home Saturday, Oct. 28. Services will be held Friday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Jim graduated with the Blair High School class of 1985. He attended one year at UNL. He then entered the United States Navy for seven years being honorably discharged Aug. 1993. He worked at Huntel Systems before going to Cox Cable in Omaha where he worked 19 years until the present. Jim was an Eagle Scout and served his country during Desert Storm. He was a member of VFW 1251 in Blair and a member of First United Methodist Church. Jim loved fishing, riding his Harley, and spending as much time as possible with the loves of his life, his German Shepard dogs.

He was preceded in death by his step-father L. Duane Dillenburg, grandparents, Art and Marjorie Lorsch, Carrol and Rachel Larson, and step-grandmother Nellie Larson.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly of Cedar Bluffs; his mother Lila Dillenburg of Blair; his father James C. Larson and step-mother Doren of Des Moines, Iowa; brothers Terry Larson, Blair, Arlo Dillenburg, Herman, and Matthew Larson, Iowa; sister Kyla Dillenburg, Blair; step-sisters Carolyn Misseou and Jennifer Tangeman, Omaha and step-brother Robbie Siegel, Iowa; nieces, nephews and many family members and friends.
