Services will be 2 p.m. in Burwell, Nebraska for Helen Hurst, 89, with burial in the Burwell Cemetery.

Helen Fackler Hurst was born August 4, 1906 to George and Nettie Schneider Fackler. She moved with her family to the Blair area in 1911-1912 and attended the Blair Schools.

She was a graduate of Peru College. Following her graduation, she taught school in numerous places in Nebraska, as did her husband, Earl Hurst.

She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Grace Petersen and four brothers, Glow Fackler, Howard Fackler, Wayne Fackler and Paul Fackler.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Hurst of Burwell; a son, Roger and his wife; two grandchildren, all of Denver, Colorado and two brothers, Ray Fackler of Blair and Harold Fackler of Havasu, Arizona.
