~~~The name spelling could be Triplett~~~ James Tripplett was born at Magnolia, Iowa, April 14, 1861 and died at Schuyler, Nebr., February 8, 1917 at the age of 55 years, 9 months, and 24 days.

Deceased was married in 1883 to Miss Mary West of this place and to this union one daughter, Minnie, was born, now Mrs. Elmer Rowley of Schuyler, Neb., with whom he was living at the time of his death. His wife died 26 years ago last November.

Besides the daughter, he also leaves a brother at Lee, Nebr., and a sister Mrs. Go. Decker, of Alta, North Dakota, and a half brother, Elzy Sr., of this place.

Mr. Tripplett was a resident here for a number of years, was a hard working, industrious man, and numbered his friends by his acquaintances.

The body was brought here Friday evening and funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock and the remains were laid to rest in the Herman Cemetery beside his wife. ~~~ Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
