Peter Koopman, Sr., a resident of Omaha for thirty-six years, father of Wm. Koopman of this city, died Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at his residence, 2331 S. Eighteenth Street. Mr. Koopman was born in Holland in1854 and came to this country when twelve years of age. His father established the Holland Reform Church at South Holland, Ill. In 1866 he married Dena Haze at Pell, Iowa.

Surviving him are his widow and nine children, Mrs. William Kunold, Mrs. Dan Ehlers, Mrs. Andrew Ross, Ralph P., Henry, Margaret and Benjamin Koopman of Omaha, W. J. Koopman of Blair, and Mrs. Van Vleet of Fairfield, Iowa; eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
