Vincent Gene Kavanaugh Jr., age (57), of Leavenworth, Kansas formerly of Dixon, was born to Vincent and Jeannie (Quinn) Kavanaugh 6/26/60. He was raised on the family farm in Dixon County, Nebraska and loved spending time at the farm visiting his mom and family, mowing, and appreciating the peace and quiet.

Interment at a later date St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery Dixon.

He died Friday in Whiting, Iowa.

Vince graduated from Allen High School, WITCC, and the Kansas City University of Mortuary Science. He worked in the family business, Kavanaugh Homes, while he completed his schooling. Through his career he worked for Becker-Hunt, Nelson-Berger, and Service Corp. International. In 2016 he became co-owner of Belden-Larkin funeral home in Leavenworth, KS. He loved his work and his co-workers, Ray & Kathleen.

Vince took great pride in his music career which he began in his youth and continued through his entire life, performing in the Vince Kavanaugh Show, where he met and married Monica Swerczek. To this union three children were born; Kayla, Jacob, and Kristin Kavanaugh.

Vince continued in the industry by establishing Positivity Entertainment Group where he managed numerous artists and authors. He also created numerous cartoon characters Drizzle & Friends in collaboration with his late friend and business partner, Chris Janz.

One of his dreams was to breed and show registered Quarter and Paint horses. He loved to spend time with “The Kavanaugh Ladies” (granddaughters) watching them ride and work with their dad. He also found joy in announcing the 4-H horse shows at the Dakota-Thurston County Fair.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Kayla, Jacob (Sammie), and Kristin Kavanaugh, all of Whiting, Iowa. Mother of his children and friend, Monica Kavanaugh. His “Ladies”: Addison Jo, Karlie Jeanne, Raegan Jane, and Jentry Jade. His loving mother, Jeannie Kavanaugh, Dixon, NE; Sisters: Pam Mahler (Chad, fiancé), Dakota Dunes, SD; Tammy Kavanaugh (Tom Grantham), Blair, NE; & Jan Kavanaugh, Kansas City, MO. nieces & nephews: Quinn & Colton Mahler, Isabella & Sophia Grantham, and Taylor, Owen, & Aubrey Ruemker.

Preceded in death by his Dad, Vince Kavanaugh; infant Kavanaugh sibling; dear friend, Chris Janz; Paternal & Maternal Grandparents, Maurice & EllaRose (McCloud) Kavanaugh and Lawrence (Sam) & Evelyn (Sullivan) Quinn. Ed & Margaret Swerczek. Many Quinn and Kavanaugh aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Memorials may be directed to the Kavanaugh Family for later designation.
