Frank August Schumacher was born in Zackerick, Brandenburg, Germany, on November 5, 1853. He was married to Emelie Schneider in 1873 and came to this country about 35 years ago.

To this union twelve children were born, eight of whom are still living. He has been a resident of Fort Calhoun for the past fourteen years and as such was highly respected.

He passed away last Saturday having been ailing with heart trouble for some time.

He leaves to mourn him a loving wife and eight children.

Funeral services were held Monday, Rev. Brittell officiating and interment made in the Calhoun Cemetery.

Death Claims Frank August Schumacher of Ft. Calhoun

Frank Schumacher, an old and respected resident of Ft. Calhoun, succumbed to dropsy at his home on Saturday, March 26, 1917, after suffering for a number of years with the ailment.

Frank August Schumacher was born in Zackerich Brandenburg, Germany, on Nov. 5, 1853. In 1873 he was married to Miss Emelie Schneider. To this union twelve children were born, eight of whom, with his wife survive him. He came to American thirty-five years ago settling at West Point, Neb., where he resided up to fourteen years ago when he moved to Ft. Calhoun, where he has since resided.

The funeral was held Monday at the Presbyterian Church, Calhoun. Rev. Brittell, of the Presbyterian Church, conducting the services. The body was laid to rest in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
