Mrs. Mary Taylor died at home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Caldwell, at Walthill, Monday and the body was brought here for burial today, accompanied by her five children and other relatives. She was past 76 years of age and was born in Dayton, Ohio, moving to Iowa where she grew up. She was married to John Taylor, a brother of W. E. Taylor, of this city, and lived here for many years. Her husband died at Lyons 21 years ago last September and was brought here for burial. The children are Chas. H., of Winnebago, Noah, of Winner, S. D., Mrs. Caldwell, Mrs. A. E. Rose, of Walthill, and Mrs. James Brink, of Rosalie.

FORMER BLAIR WOMAN DIES The body of Mrs. John Taylor, a former Blair citizen, was received in Blair Wednesday afternoon, and interment made in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. John Taylor has been living with her daughter, Drusie, now Mrs. Andy Caldwell of Walthill, Neb. where she passed away.

A number of years ago the family, consisting of the parents and four children lived here, the husband and father passing away before they left Blair.

The deceased is a sister of Mrs. Will Epperly and a sister-in-law to Will Taylor of north Blair. The children left to mourn the mother’s death are Mrs. Andy Caldwell, Mrs. Al Rose of Walthill and Noah and Charles who also live in eastern Nebraska.

The ladies of the W.R.C. of which organization the deceased was a member, met the relatives and body at the train and accompanied them to the cemetery where the remains were laid to rest beside the husband.

MRS. J. W. TAYLOR DIES AT WALTHILL - BURIED HERE

All the was mortal of Mrs. Mary A. Taylor was brought here from Walthill Wednesday and laid by the side of her soldier husband in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was born at Dayton Ohio in 1845, and with her husband came to Blair when this place was in its infancy. She lived here for many years and reared a family of five children, all of whom called this place home. They are Mrs. Rose, Mrs. A. J. Caldwell and Mrs. J. W. Brink, all of Walthill; Charles of Winnebago and Noah of Hammil, So. Dak. She united with the Christian church in Blair many years ago, and lived in that faith until her death, which occurred at Walthill where she made her home with her children. Her husband, who died at Walthill 22 years ago, was a soldier in the Civil War and the G.A.R. Post in that place still bears his name.

Burial was made from the train Wednesday at one o’clock p.m. Besides her children, Mrs. Taylor leaves one sister, Mrs. W. M. Epperly of Blair, all of whom will mourn her death.
