James R. Smith received word Friday on the death of John F. Pierce, at Rock River, Wyoming, on June 21st. Mr. Pierce was an old Washington County man, having been foreman of the Highland Ranch north of Blair when it was owned by Mr. Windsor of Omaha, and Col. Pratt. At the time of his death Mr. Pierce was foreman of the Diamond Ranch at Rock River, Wyo. The Diamond Ranch is owned by a Mr. Balzer of Boston, and Sir Horcae Plunkett of Ireland. The funeral of Mr. Pierce was held at Rock River, Sunday.
